Plan Your Visit
The Rear Range Hilton Head Island Lighthouse is located in the Leamington neighborhood of Palmetto Dunes Resort. It is between the 5th and 15th greens of the Arthur Hills Golf Course.
The lighthouse is free to the public to visit. Sorry, the inside tower is closed and no longer accessible to the public to go up. Passes are not given after 5 p.m. and motorcycles are not allowed in Palmetto Dunes. Since the lighthouse is located on private property in a golf course environment, please be courteous to golfers and residents.

Directions:
Take Highway 278 onto Hilton Head Island, S.C. Near mile marker 8 is Palmetto Dunes Resort. From the light on 278, turn east onto Queens Folly Road until you come to the main guard house. Tell them you want to visit the lighthouse and they will give you a pass. Proceed straight on Ocean Lane, until you see the Leamington Gate. Call the guard and let them know your are visiting the lighthouse.
Parking:
Please park on the road. Parking on the grass is not permitted in the Leamington neighborhood.

Arthur Hills Pro Shop: Daily from 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. (this may slightly change seasonally— also, aeration occurs twice a year in which the course will be closed for about 3 days, so the welcome center would be the backup location during that time)
